August Vacation Notes

Dave Grishaw-Jones, Pastor
I’m happy to report that I’m taking some vacation this summer–leaving New Hampshire on August 3 for most of the month!  I’ll have a good visit with my dear family in California, and then return late in August to help our daughter Hannah settle into her freshman dorm at Wesleyan University in Connecticut.  These “sabbath” times are so important for me, and for all of us; and I’m grateful to the church and our amazing leadership for making it possible.

As far as Sunday worship goes, you’ll see (below) that we have all kinds of options set up: services you can attend virtually, ways to go deep and connect with a widening circle.  Take advantage of these–or find something yourself.  Most churches are online these days, and you’ll find all kinds of diversity by surfing a bit!

For pastoral emergencies, I’m offering the names of clergy colleagues who are available to help out if an emergency arises.  If there’s something you need me, personally, to know, don’t hesitate to drop me an email too.  I’ll do my best not to do ‘church business’ on this vacation–but I’m happy to hear from you and to hold you in my heart!!

I look forward to being back in the church office on Tuesday, September 1.  The fall will bring new opportunities for creativity, service, action and communion.  I’m eager to join you on the way!
